Elizabeth Stone

Manners, Rally Obedience

Elizabeth grew up in the Pacific Northwest and referred to the family’s Aussie-mix as her “big brother”. When she was nine, her family adopted a cocker spaniel with aggressive reactivity, and she took him to an obedience class where they taught her to use a choke chain and a rubber hose to get him to show “respect" — Needless to say, she didn’t go back to that class and instead went to the library, learning from books to create her own training program.

Since then she has participated in many rescue and rehab programs both in the Northwest and in Texas, teaching dogs from abusive situations how to be a happy and well-behaved while living with a human family.

When not at Four Paw Sports, Elizabeth walks and trains a regular clientele of local dogs at all skill levels. She lives with her dog Finnegan (a Shetland Sheepdog) who has received his Rally Excellent title and is working toward his RAE and Rally Master titles, and her pup Geordi LaFurge, a Cadaver Dog prospect.
