Anna Denson
Rally Freestyle, Manners, Tricks
Anna's passion for training began at a young age, when she began teaching her family dog tricks from 101 Dog Tricks by Kyra Sundance. In adulthood, Anna went on to hold roles as a dog walker, animal care assistant at an emergency vet, and dog daycare attendant.
In her twenties, she adopted a special cattle dog mix, Asa, who showed her how powerful behavior modification can be. Asa was scared of new people, dogs, traffic, and loud sounds, so Anna dove into science-based, force-free training methods. After consistent behavior modification, and some medication, Asa now leads a calm and happy life with minimal fear.
With a degree in Economics from Western Washington University, Anna spent years in project management and finance before feeling a strong pull to return to working with dogs. After the loss of her soul dog, Lacey, she shifted careers and is now working towards her CPDT-KA certification. Through her business, Contented Canine (contentedcaninellc.com), Anna offers private lessons, walks, and drop-in visits to help dogs and their owners live rewarding lives together.
