With a keen eye for human and dog interaction, Marian has studied extensively under professional handlers and has many championships, breed and group wins. Her philosophy for creating winning performances is to constantly observe and determine what it takes to draw out the best qualities in each dog and make them shine in the ring through positive training techniques. This process starts with the dog/handler bond and extends to all elements of ring performance. It’s also about having fun and developing a community of students who encourage and support each other in and out of the ring.
Junior handlers are especially encouraged to come to classes (she’s also an elementary school computer teacher by day). Marian loves fostering a love of the sport and watching their skills, confidence and sportsmanship grow with time. Many of the country’s top Junior handlers have come from her classes.
